All cast and crew of youth festival plays are free. They have access to youth festival, youth workshops. They are not members of the organization and, as such, have no voting privileges.

Message from Youth Division

Dear Youth Theatre fans and supporters,

The Theatre for Youth Division sponsors an annual, non-competitive invitational Festival of plays for young people from Kindergarden to 8th grade. While all children are welcome, the Theatre for Youth Festival typically draws its audience from the schoolchildren in the host city. Especially in the current financial climate, in which arts programs are being savagely cut, GTC regards this Festival as an important opportunity to reach out ot the children of the host city and to provide theatre experiences to those who might otherwise not have them.

The Festival includes plays and workshops, offered by companies of adults who perform for children and, on occasion, companies of young performers. While the festival is not competitive, we do invite a respondent who offers constructive comments to the performers.

We welcome groups and individuals, as performers or audience members. Please consider bringing a play or offering a workshop. The children of Statesboro will be delighted!
